At the initiative of Mr.T.Balasubramani, a Laser Scientist (nanotechnology) at the Kwanju Institute of Science and Technology (Kjist) a meeting was organized in their campus. Dr.N.Kannan, President of THF, Ms.K.Subashini, Webmaster & Vice-President of THF were invited to present THF initiatives to an audience of Mechatronics Engineers. Life Scientists and Physicist. Mr.Subramani has invited scientists from neibouring Universities to attend this meeting as well. Mr.T.Alagesan, an Alumini of Anna University has hosted the meeting at his house. Almost all Korean Institutions provide DSL LAN connection to living quarters and hence internet accessability from his home was no problem.

After Dr.N.Kannan explained the mission of THF and the immense possibility of Diaspora Tamil participation it was decided to initiate a THF Korean Workgroup among Tamils living in South Korea. Mr.Suresh Kumar from Vijayawada participated in the meeting with equal enthusiam and requested THF to enlarge its scope to South Asian Languages including Telegu.
